Dew points in the mid 70s, highs in the 90s, heat index values near 100 degrees will be a common occurrence out the door for the week. For tonight, look for increasing cloud cover, along with shower and thunderstorm activity through the overnight hours. Motorcycle crash injured two in Cerro Gordo County
ROCK FALLS, Iowa – Two motorcyclists were seriously hurt after hitting a power pole Sunday in Cerro Gordo County. The Iowa State Patrol says Christopher Douglas, 45 of Mason City, was riding a 2010 Harley Davidson motorcycle south on Spring Street when he failed to handle a curve near Nottingham Avenue. The State Patrol says the motorcycle went off the road and struck a power pole around 3 am.
