Woman killed in Fall River pedestrian crash remembered as giving woman of God as services announced
A 67-year-old Dartmouth woman killed after being struck by a box truck on Joseph Drive in Fall River is being remembered as services have been announced. According to Gregg Miliote of the Bristol County District Attorney’s Office, at around noon on Wednesday, two victims, the driver of the box truck, and three others were at 214 Joseph Drive to pick up a dresser. The six individuals were all employees or volunteers for the non-profit organization known as My Brother’s Keeper, which organizes drop offs and pick-ups of donated furniture.
New laws will simplify state payments to East Providence

Man dies in Rutland jet ski accident
A 46-year-old Attleboro man died Saturday after his jet ski overturned in Turkey Hill Pond in Rutland, the Police Department said in a press release. Rutland police and firefighters went to the pond shortly before 4:30 p.m. after receiving a report that a man who had been operating a jet ski had disappeared under the water after appearing to be in distress.

(The Center Square) — Democratic Rhode Island Gov. Dan McKee's ratings are continuing to drop, according to a new poll, which found voters overwhelmingly think the state is headed in the wrong direction. The poll, released Thursday by the University of New Hampshire Survey Center, found only 29% approve of McKee's performance as governor, while 65% disapprove. Four children were taken to the hospital after they ate CBD gummies at a YMCA summer camp in Coventry, Rhode Island, last week. First responders were called to Camp Westwood YMCA on Thursday morning for four campers who were vomiting, NBC10 Boston affiliate WJAR reports.
