SPORTS: High school football season kicks off in four weeks
The high school football season will be underway four weeks from Friday. The Morrilton Devil Dogs open at home on August 30th against Russellville and we're gearing up to bring you all the action of every Devil Dog game again this season on 101.7 KVOM. This will be our 72nd year of broadcasting Devil Dog football on the radio, and we'll once again have the live video stream of every game on the Morrilton High School Dawg Trax page on YouTube. Following the Russellville game, the Devil Dogs play at home again on September 6th against Texarkana before wrapping up non-conference play at White Hall on September 13th. Following an open date, Morrilton will start 5A West Conference play on September 27th at home against Greenbrier. The Devil Dogs will then have back-to-back road games - at Alma on October 4th and at Pea Ridge on October 11th - followed by consecutive home games - October 18th against Harrison and October 25th against Farmington. The regular season concludes with a pair of short road trips - November 1st at Vilonia and November 8th at Clarksville...
