Texarkana Arkansas Police Department helps United Way with ‘Stuff the Bus’, 400 back packs donated
TEXARKANA, Ark. (KSLA) - Being prepared for the upcoming school year was the topic of concern for some nonprofit organizations in Texarkana today. Volunteers with the Texarkana Arkansas police department’s “Personal Responsibility In Daily Efforts(PRIDE) program was busy today filling school supplies in backpacks as part of the United Way of Greater Texarkana “Stuff The Bus” initiative. Leaders here say more than 400 backpacks are being prepared for 50 schools in the Texarkana area. The packing was done at the Texarkana Resource Center and center director Jennifer Lewis say they are doing more than just backpacks for the schools.
