Thousands of books, CDs, DVDs, toys and more at Friends of the Library Summer Book Sale

The Wooster Friends of the Library Summer Book Sale will be held July 11-13, at the Book Cellar in the basement of the Operations Center, 304 N. Market St., Wooster.

Thursday and Friday sales are 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Saturday hours are 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday is bag day - all the books that fit into a grocery back will be $5.

On Wednesday, 5-7 p.m., the sale is open to members of the Friends of the Library only.

The Summer Sale features thousands of donated books and books culled from the Wayne County Public Library, along with audio-visual items such as books on CD, DVDs and music CDs. Toys, games and puzzles will be on sale for $1 each.

Prices range from 25 cents to $1.25 for adult books, and 25 cents to 50 cents for books for children and young adults.

The shelves are packed with good-condition books ranging from adult fiction and nonfiction, to picture books and children’s and young adult fiction and nonfiction both in paperback and hardback.

Cookbooks and biography highlight the nonfiction area, along with plenty of works on gardening, history, business,religion and reference. Also on sale, at a special price, is the five-volume Encyclopedia of the American Civil War.

Scanning devices may be used on Friday and Saturday.

Proceeds from the Summer Book sale will be used to benefit the Wayne County Public Library to better serve its patrons.

Free parking will be available at the Zion Lutheran Church across the street.
