Update: 3 Massachusetts counties under a tornado warning Tuesday evening
On Tuesday at 8:11 p.m. an updated tornado warning was issued by the National Weather Service in effect until 8:30 p.m. for Franklin, Hampshire and Worcester counties. "At 8:10 p.m., a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located over New Salem, or 10 miles south of Orange, moving east at 55 mph," states the weather service. "Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is likely."

A 20-year-old man is being sought by police in a fatal May shooting at a home in Northborough, Massachusetts, Worcester County District Attorney Joseph Early said Tuesday. Shortly after 1 a.m. on May 12, a partygoer flagged down a police officer and told them someone had brandished a gun at 333 Howard St., the property where the party was happening.
