Auburn 11, Berlin (Md.) 10: Patrick Saucier belted a three-run double to left and scored on a double by Bryce Everson to cap a four-run rally with two outs in the top of the seventh as Auburn stunned Berlin, Maryland in a winner's bracket final of the Senior League East Regional in Bangor, Maine.
Auburn will face the winner of Monday's game between Maryland and Pennsylvania in the Regional Championship at 1 p.m. Tuesday.
Everson was 4 for 5 to Auburn, while Saucier was 3 for 4 and Matthew Friedland drove in two runs.
Pittsfield 3, Holden 0 : Holden's run came to an end at Deming Park in Pittsfield, as Pittsfield captured the 12U Section 1 title to earn a spot in the New England Regional in Bristol, CT.
International League
Lehigh Valley 6, WooSox 4: Nick Sogard was the only WooSox player to have multiple hits, collecting two hits and a one, as a late rally came up short as Worcester (10-10, 50-45) fell to the IronPigs (14-7, 48-46) at Cola-Cola Park in Allentown, PA.
In the second game of his rehab assignment, Vaughn Grissom played second base and was 1 for 4 and doubled in a run.
Futures Collegiate League
Bravehearts 8, Westfield 7: Worcester native Max LeFrancois hit a walk-off single to center as Worcester (23-23) held off the visiting Starflies (27-19) to snap their five-game losing streak.
Teammate Max D'Alessandro went 3 for 4 with two RBIs and two runs, while Jackson Marshall was 3 for 3 with three RBIs and a run.
Worcester Academy grad Cam Papetti tied the game at seven after singling in a run in the top of the ninth for Westfield.
American Legion
North County 18, Leominster 3: Caleb Allen went 3 for 5 with four RBIs and a run, Sam Curtis was 2 for 3 with three RBIs and four runs, and Corey Aubuchon and Ben Forbes both went 2 for 3 with three RBIs and two runs as North County cruised past Post 151 to take the best-of-three series in the first round of the Zone 4 playoffs at McLaughlin Field.
North County opens a three-game series with Hudson on Monday and will play game two at Winchendon High Tuesday at 5:30 p.m.
Senior Babe Ruth
Stamford (Conn.) 17, PNJ All-Stars 7: The Thunder scored 10 runs in the top of the 14th inning to defeat the PNJ All-Stars and win the New England Senior Babe Ruth Tournament at Tivnan Field.
PNJ led 5-0 after five, but Stamford answered with six of its own in the top of the sixth to take 6-5 lead.
PNJ rallied to tie the game in the bottom of the seventh when Dale Nussey singled to center to drive in Erik Dupuis with one out to force extra innings. Stamford took a 8-7 lead in the eighth, but PNJ rallied again when James Hillis doubled to center to score Isaac Swedberg with one out in the bottom of the eighth to extend the game.
Chris Palermo was 4 for 7 with a run, while Dylan McDonald was 3 for 5 with a double, Sam Conrad and Peter Lavache each had tow hits and Junior Ovalle and Hillis each drove in a pair to lead PNJ.
