    New Broadway in Worcester season features Megan Hilty, Christine Ebersole and Gavin Creel

    " Broadway in Worcester's" 2024-2025 season will feature stage and screen stars and Tony Award winners/nominees Megan Hilty , Christine Ebersole and Gavin Creel in shows at the BrickBox Theater at the Jean McDonough Arts Center , 20 Franklin St., Worcester..

    Each artist will also conduct free master classes open to all high school and college students and their arts educators.

    "Broadway in Worcester" was launched by Eric Butler in 2022 to provide local audiences with the opportunity to see some of Broadway’s most celebrated talent. Past performers have included Tony Award winners Laura Benanti , Kelli O’Hara , Jessie Mueller, and Santino Fontana , as well as the late Broadway legend Chita Rivera .

    The new season gets underway with "An Evening with Megan Hilty" at 8 p.m. Sept. 13. Hilty will perform songs ranging from Broadway hits to country classics. She is about to join rehearsals for this fall’s highly anticipated new Broadway musical comedy, " Death Becomes Her." Perhaps most recognizable for her portrayal of seasoned triple-threat Ivy Lynn in NBC’s musical drama “ Smash ,” Hilty received a Tony Award nomination for her role of Brooke Ashton in the Broadway revival of " Noises Off."

    For "I'll Be Home For Christmas" at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 11, two-time Tony Award winner Christine Ebersole will be joined by Grammy Award winning pianist Billy Stritch as they celebrate the holidays together.

    Ebersole won her Tony awards  starring in the Broadway musicals " 42nd Street" and " Grey Gardens." On television, she received an Emmy Award nomination for her work in the former NBC series " One Life to Live ."

    "Gavin Creel in Concert" at 8 p.m. March 7 will feature the actor, singer and songwriter who won a Tony Award for his performance in th Broadway revival of " Hello Dolly" starring Bette Midler.

    In announcing the new season Butler said, “Once again, Broadway in Worcester, is experiencing an embarrassment of riches with some of the theater’s biggest stars performing in our community ... I can’t wait for Worcester to get to experience the talent of these stars and I can’t wait for our artists to get to experience Worcester and all it has to offer.”

    Each artist participates in masterclasses or workshops for students and educators prior to their performances.

    Season subscriptions are available from $150 to $300 and single tickets are $55 to $115. A limited number of VIP tickets are available which include premium seats, a Broadway in Worcester swag bag, and a post-show meet and greet with photo opportunity.
