Red Sox roster: Lefty reliever joins team in Miami ahead of possible move
MIAMI — Left-handed reliever Cam Booser rejoined the Red Sox on Thursday in Miami, but he wasn’t activated before Boston’s series finale against the Marlins. Booser, who was optioned to Triple-A as part of a series of roster moves on June 24, joined the club as a member of the taxi squad. He’ll likely travel to New York ahead of a three-game series that begins Friday. Unless someone is hurt and needs to be placed on the injured list, Booser can’t be added to the active roster until Tuesday (July 9), which marks 15 days since he was optioned to Worcester. It’s a situation to monitor in the coming days.
