    Big games and milestones highlight the picks: Cast your vote for the Hometeam Girls' Lacrosse Player of the Week

    There were plenty of great performances on the lacrosse fields last week, and Tommy Cassell found some of the best for readers to vote on to decide the Hometeam Girls' Lacrosse Player of the Week.

    Player of the week nominations are selected by reporters based on coaches reporting game results into the Telegram & Gazette sports department and game coverage from the T&G sports department staff. Game results and highlights can be submitted by email at sports@telegram.com or by calling the sports department at 508-793-9350.

    Maddie Dugan, Notre Dame

    Dugan delivered a game-high eight goals to propel the host Rebels past Northbridge in a shootout before scoring five times in a high-scoring affair with Auburn that resulted in an 18-15 win for Notre Dame.

    Kayla Flanagan, Nashoba

    This senior scored six times, with her final goal tying the game with less than a minute to play, before her team beat Wachusett, 12-11, in overtime. Flanagan then added two goals and six assists in a win over Hudson.

    Lillian Gikas, Tyngsborough

    Gikas garnered six goals as the visiting Tigers rallied to beat Bromfield, 16-13.

    Kaitlyn Head, Wachusett

    This senior scored five goals to spearhead a 13-10 win for Wachusett over Ashland prior to collecting seven goals and three assists in a 17-5 victory over Bromfield.

    Fallon Lozano, Nipmuc

    This junior collected five goals and two assists in the Warriors’ 14-0 win over Hopedale.

    Carly Moody and Mayah Philion, Shepherd Hill

    These two teammates chipped in six goals apiece to move the visiting Rams past St. Bernard’s.

    Maeve Powers, AMSA

    This senior scored four goals and secured her 100th career varsity point as the host Eagles topped Assabet.

    Alison Stevens, Tahanto

    Stevens had eight goals and two assists to lift the Stags to a 14-8 win over Oakmont.

    Caity Tyldesley, Grafton

    Tyldesley tallied five goals and three assists to help the host Gators defeat Nipmuc, 10-7.
