    Big games and milestones: Cast your vote for the Hometeam Field Hockey Player of the Week

    There were plenty of stellar performances last week from our local field hockey players as the season starts to hit its stride. Jennifer Toland found some of the best showings that were reported by coaches for our Hometeam Scoreboard reports for readers to vote on for the Hometeam Field Hockey Player of the Week.

    Congratulations to Nipmuc's Eleni Guarneri, who topped last week's poll with 3,356 (38.46 percent) votes to edge Clinton's Faith Dickhaut (2,750 votes) in a poll with over 8,700 votes cast.

    Lindsey Brown, Algonquin Regional

    The senior totaled six goals and added an assist to lead the Titans to a 2-0-0 week.

    Lexi Carroll, Hopedale

    The sophomore scored three goals and added two assists in a win over BMR.

    Julianna Casucci, Uxbridge

    The junior totaled five goals and added an assist to help lead the undefeated Spartans to a 2-0-0 week.

    Caroline Cook, Notre Dame Academy

    The senior had a goal and an assist in a win over Hopedale and assisted on the tying goal in the final minute in the Rebels’ 3-3 draw with Nipmuc Regional.

    Calleigh Currier, Maynard

    In the Tigers’ 2-0-0 week, the sophomore collected four goals and two assists.

    Kacie Horn, Marlborough

    The sophomore registered a pair of hat tricks and added six assists to lead the Panthers to a 3-0-0 week.

    Emmy Johnson, Wachusett

    The senior scored six goals and added an assist to lead the Mountaineers to a 3-0-0 week. In Wachusett’s win over Shrewsbury, Johnson registered her 100 th career point.

    Camryn Kinne, Sutton

    The senior recorded a hat trick against Nipmuc Regional and helped lead the undefeated Suzies to a 2-0-0 week.

    Victoria Masucci, Nashoba Regional

    The freshman scored three goals and added an assist to lead the Wolves in a 2-0-0 week.

    Meredith Southard Pantano, North Middlesex Regional

    The sophomore registered a hat trick and added an assist to lift the Patriots to a win over Quabbin and go 2-0-1 on the week.

    Elly Schofer, Northbridge

    The junior totaled seven goals to lead the Rams to wins over Grafton and Tantasqua Regional.

    Ireland Shea, St. Paul

    The sophomore scored 10 goals to lead the Knights to a 2-0-1 week.

    Marissa Smachetti, Doherty

    The senior scored three goals and added an assist to help lead the Highlanders in a 2-0-0 week.

    Ava Varakis, Clinton

    The junior scored three goals and added an assist to lead the Gaels to a 2-0-1 week.

    Maeve Whittemore, Auburn

    The senior scored the winning goal with 34 seconds left to lift the Rockets to a 1-0 victory over Grafton.
