Joe Swanson, who served as cluster Production Director while hosting middays on Country 95.9 KCOB-FM and afternoons on KRTI until exiting in the May cuts, has returned to the cluster to host mornings with Sarah Jorges. Jorges, who also works as an Account Executive at the cluster, had remained in her off-air role following the staff purge. Neumann Brothers accepting applications for 2024 Heart Fund grants
Neumann Brothers Inc., a Des Moines-based general contractor, is now accepting applications for its annual Neumann Heart Fund grant program. The employee-led charitable initiative will award $20,000 to Central Iowa nonprofits this coming October. Iowa nonprofit organizations with 501(c)(3) nonprofit tax status and missions addressing homelessness, food insecurity and first-responder support are encouraged to apply. Applications are reviewed and scored by an internal committee of Neumann employees. “The Heart Fund is led by the ‘heart’ of our organization — our employees — and the issues prevalent in the communities we work in,” said Mike Simpson, president and CEO of Neumann, in a prepared statement. To apply, complete a brief online form on Neumann’s website. Applications are due Sept. 13.
