Roane County bypass to open to traffic ahead of schedule
ROANE COUNTY, W.Va. (WCHS) — A major construction project in Roane County is set to open ahead of schedule. The Scott Miller Hill Bypass on U.S. 33 near Spencer will open to traffic Thursday, according to a news release from the West Virginia Department of Transportation. The opening will be two months earlier than originally planned.

Public ice skating rink in the works at Mylan Park
MORGANTOWN W.Va – A public ice rink is set to open in late 2025 at Mylan Park, according to Mylan Park Foundation President Ron Justice. The arena’s exact design is still in the early stages, but Justice said the rink will most likely include one sheet of ice with locker rooms and seating, as well as a skate rental shop. Hot dogs recalled because of lack of inspection
CLEVELAND, Ohio – AW Farms is recalling about 6,900 pounds of hot-dog products produced without federal inspection, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service.
