    ‘Rock the Country’ in Ashland brings in thousands of country music fans

    ASHLAND, KY (WOWK) — The country music festival “Rock the Country” made a stop in Boyd County, Kentucky Friday. kicking off the weekend with good music, atmosphere, and some of country music’s biggest stars.

    Thousands of country music fans gathered at the Boyd County Fairgrounds to watch headlining artists Jason Aldean and Kid Rock along with fellow country music stars Miranda Lambert, Brantley Gilbert, Travis Tritt, Nelly, Gavin Adock, Sadie Bass, Elvie Shane, and Dee Jay Silver!

    The two-day live music event brought in people from all over the United States and they’re saying it’s an amazing experience.

    “This means the world. We never get nothing like this so we’re turning up,” Magoffin County, Kentucky resident Jamison Allen says.

    Fans like Makaylan and Jessica Jenkins say they traveled 3 and a half hours from Indiana to be there and they say it was “absolutely worth it.”

    The live music continues Saturday, April 20th and traffic delays can be expected both during and after the event.

    Saw Kid Rock and Nelly for a lot less $ and not nearly as crowded years ago. The only ones I would want to see. Why would pay that much to hear anyone in a crowd like that. Good try Boyd county I give it that.

    Parking passes were a scam. Not organized at all and the people who attended got screwed hard on food and water, really needs major improvement. Saturdays music was awesome. Friday lame
