The importance of Memorial Day on Inside West Virginia Politics

CHARLESTON, WV (WOWK) — On this week’s episode of Inside West Virginia Politics, we talk to different guests about their thoughts on Memorial Day, its history and their plans for the holiday.

In Segment One, we talk to Maj. General William Crane of the West Virginia National Guard about the importance of Memorial Day

In Segment Two, we talk to WVU Medicine Thomas Memorial Hospital’s Chief Quality Officer Brian Lily about the life of the hospital’s namesake.

In Segment Three, we talk to Ronie Wheeler of the Mason County WV Veterans Memorial about their Memorial Day statue unveiling to memorialize veterans.

We end today’s episode with KWS Radio personality and U.S. Marine Corps Mortuary Services Veteran Robb Reel to talk about his time in the military.

I am confused. When I wear my veterans hat, people thank me for my service; however, these same people vote for political candidates, especially Trump, who think we are suckers and losers and avoided the draft with bone spurs, also stated he would disown any of his kids that enlisted.
