Route 2 reopens after Mason County crash

UPDATE (9:07 p.m. on July 17, 2024) — Route 2 has reopened after a crash in Glenwood Wednesday.

MASON COUNTY, WV (WOWK) — Route 2 has been closed after a vehicle knocked over a pole in Glenwood Wednesday evening.

According to Mason County 911, the crash was reported around 6:30 p.m., and no people were injured. Power lines and a transformer were also reportedly damaged in the incident.

Mason County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the crash while the Department of Highways is on the way to manage traffic. Crews are also working on removing debris.
