KANAWHA COUNTY, WV (WOWK) — A Logan County man was arrested on Monday after putting antisemitic flyers on cars in Charleston hotel parking lots and then shouting at an officer and giving them a Nazi salute, according to a criminal complaint.

The flyers were found at the Embassy Suites, Holiday Inn Express and Best Western/Quality Inn in Charleston, the complaint said.

The flyers blamed the 9/11 terrorist attacks and gun control on the Jewish faith. They also showed the LGBTQ+ community in a negative manner, and the flyers “represented circumcision practices performed by the Jewish faith in a very offensive manner,” according to the complaint.

The complaint said Jeremy Harris, 27, of Davin, was pulled over and matched the description of the man distributing the flyers. A large bag of the flyers was found in the vehicle Harris was driving, according to the complaint.

While Harris was being cited, he used profane language, and when he was given the citation and told he could go back to his vehicle, Harris shouted “F*** you, Heil Hitler” and gave a Nazi salute.

Harris was then arrested for disorderly conduct. He was bond was set at $100 cash-only. If convicted, he faces up to 24 hours in jail or a maximum $100 fine.
