KANAWHA COUNTY, WV (WOWK) — A Cross Lanes man is awaiting sentencing after pleading guilty to voluntary manslaughter Tuesday, according to the Kanawha County Circuit Court Office.

Alexander Hall , 24, of Cross Lanes, was charged with the killing of Billie Parker, 52, of Spencer.

Hall was initially charged with domestic battery following an incident with a woman at Carleton Court Apartments. The woman’s father, Parker, later came to check on her when Hall shot Parker two times, according to the Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office. Parker later died after being taken to the hospital.

Hall is expected to be sentenced on September 22, 2024. He was previously charged with first-degree murder, for which he pleaded not guilty in 2023 .
