    Grant established to help agencies helping West Virginia farms in drought

    CHARLESTON, WV (WOWK) — A grant program has been launched to provide financial assistance to agencies helping bring water to farms in severe or extreme drought conditions, according to a release from Gov. Jim Justice’s office.

    The Emergency Drought Relief Reimbursement Grant Program was announced on Friday.

    Contract awarded to fix Rand drainage problems, rebuild storm sewers

    The governor’s office said agencies — like local public agencies, fire departments and conservation districts — who have been helping get and bring irrigation nd livestock water supplies to farms in impacted areas can apply for the grant. The grant reimburses eligible expenses.
