Man identified in fatal I64 motorized scooter crash

DUNBAR, WV (WOWK) – Authorities have identified a man who died in a motorized scooter crash on I-64 early Saturday morning.

According to Dunbar Police, Joshua Casto, 27, of Jackson County was killed when his Vespa Scooter crashed near the 52 mile-marker of I-64 West.

Metro 911 dispatchers say the crash happened shortly after 1 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 10. Officers with the Dunbar PD say there were no lights on the scooter and it was traveling 20 miles below the speed limit at the time of the crash.
