    RFK Jr qualifies to be on West Virginia ballot

    CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WBOY) — The West Virginia Secretary of State’s Office has confirmed that Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has received enough signatures to appear on the 2024 presidential ballot as an independent.

    RFK Jr. has garnered a following in several states during his campaign, amassing enough signatures to be placed on the ballot in a majority of U.S. states with claims that he will make the ballot in all 50. According to The Hill , his filing to be on West Virginia’s ballot re quired 7,947 signatures and was completed on Aug. 1, one day before the final due date for independent candidates in West Virginia.

    In West Virginia, RFK Jr. will be running against Donald Trump (R), Chase Oliver (L) and Jill Stein (M), according to the West Virginia Secretary of State’s website. He’ll also likely be running against Kamala Harris (D), who is expected to be nominated as the Democratic Candidate during the Democratic National Convention later this month.
