HUNTINGTON, WV (WOWK) — Students moving in at Marshall University may have heard some thunder on campus Tuesday, but it wasn’t the weather.

The Marshall Marching Thunder is in the middle of their preseason band camp, and the band has grown by about 30 members this year. This week is about learning the fundamentals and getting down the traditional fan-friendly music as well as learning new songs for this year’s halftime show.

It’s all designed to bring the “Soundtrack of Saturday” to the fans and add to the college game day experience, and there’s even still time for anyone else who might want to get in on the fun to join the band.

This year’s halftime show is called “Upside Down – the Music of Stranger Things!”
