Street paving underway throughout Charleston

CHARLESTON, WV (WOWK) – Paving and milling across Charleston city streets is underway.

In June, the Charleston City Council approved a contract with Bear Contracting, LLC, for a maximum of $3,088,350 for asphalt street paving construction services. According to the Resolution approved, the price was determined through a bidding process.

The city has several streets on this year’s paving list, some of which the company has already begun or finished work on. City officials are posting notices of upcoming paving on their Facebook and Instagram pages, as well as on the traffic information page of their website.

Below is the full list of streets where Bear Contracting will be paving/milling. The company may have already gotten to some of these streets.
