Kanawha City Sheetz opens its doors to customers

KANAWHA COUNTY, WV (WOWK) — If you’re looking for a reason to go to the Kanawha City area on Thursday… well, “Why the Sheetz not?”

The first Sheetz convenience store and gas station within Charleston city limits opened its doors Thursday morning after a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

The new store on MacCorkle Avenue is where the old Hooters location was. This is the same place folks came together to hold a candlelight vigil for the restaurant. The Sheetz will also take the place of Captain D’s in the 5600 block of MacCorkle Avenue Southeast.
