Massive Heat Wave in West Virginia, Ohio and Kentucky

(WOWK) – West Virginia is the most drought stricken state in the nation, and StormTracker 13 Meteorologists predict that it will get worse.

A powerful heatwave will settle in Appalachia for the work week causing high temperatures to soar to 10 – 15 degrees above normal. If Wednesday’s rain chances break down some backyard thermometers may even crack the triple digits for the middle of the week.

Temperatures will drop out of the 90s by the end of next weekend, but we will still need plenty of rain to help alleviate the drought.
