ST. ALBANS, WV (WOWK) – In honor of Voter Registration Month, West Virginia Secretary of State Mac Warner visited students at St. Albans High School Wednesday to encourage them to register to vote.

Many high school seniors will be eligible to vote in the November election, and with Election Day just two months away, Warner says now is the time to do it.

“What’s interesting is we are so divided, but we’re split right down the middle. And so, you hear about the swing states, you hear about swing demographics. Well, the young people are one of those swing demographics,” Warner said. “I don’t know which way that might swing – either conservative or progressive – but the important thing is, if they participate, they can actually determine the outcome of an election.

Oct. 15 is the last day to register to vote in West Virginia. You can register by going to the West Virginia Secretary of State’s website.
