    Arrested suspect identified in Logan County theft

    LOGAN COUNTY, WV (WOWK) — The suspect that was arrested in connection to the theft of around $157,000 in commercial equipment and copper in Logan County has been identified.

    West Virginia State Police said in a release that arrest warrants were executed on Sept. 4, resulting in the arrest of Jeremy Ray Weekley. One other suspect is still wanted by law enforcement.

    The suspects allegedly stole items from Tren Services, Inc. and Arch Resources, Inc., which include “a white and orange in color, 2011 Bobcat 325G excavator, a blue in color, Miller welder, a 14-foot black in color BigTex flatbed trailer with a wooden deck, and approximately $100,000.00 in copper,” the release said

    Weekley is being charged with Breaking and Entering, Grand Larceny, Destruction of Property, Transferring Stolen Property and Conspiracy. He is being held at Southwestern Regional Jail to await arraignment.

    The investigation is ongoing.
