PIKEVILLE, KY (WOWK) – Soulja Boy, the rapper behind the viral sensation, “Crank That (Soulja Boy),” will be ringing in the new year in Pikeville, Kentucky.

Soulja Boy will be joined by fellow rapper and special guest Chingy for the performance. The show is set to take place at 8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 31 at the Appalachian Wireless Arena in Pikeville.

Arena officials say tickets for the performance range in price, including $25, $45, $55, $65, and $75. The tickets go on sale on Friday, Sept. 13.

Following the show in the new year, there will also be a VIP after-party from 12:30 a.m. to 2:30 a.m., according to arena officials. Those tickets cost $150, and availability is limited.

His biggest song — “Crank That (Soulja Boy)” — was a massive hit in 2007, reaching number one on Billboard’s Hot 100 charts and staying there for seven weeks straight.

After that trend blew up in the 2000s, he would go on to record songs like “Kiss Me Thru the Phone” and “Pretty Boy Swag.” He has been featured on songs by the likes of Nicki Minaj, Snoop Dogg, Gucci Mane, Lil B and more.

This concert comes just a few months after Soulja Boy is set to appear in Ashland. That concert will take place at the Paramount Arts Center on Sept. 14. Tickets for that show are also still available through the venue’s website .
