South Charleston boba shop hosts ribbon cutting

SOUTH CHARLESTON, WV (WOWK) – A new place to enjoy boba is now open in South Charleston.

The popular drink, which is made with tea, milk, fruit juices and edible pearls is available in all kinds of flavors at “Shake Your Boba.” A ribbon cutting for the new store took place Monday morning at Riverwalk Plaza.

“This is a new adventure to us. It is our new business. And sharing what we’ve experienced outside is what makes us more excited because we get to share what we love to other people,” said Catyren Mata, owner.

“Shake Your Boba” specializes in a variety of customizable bubble teas, bubble waffles, and the famous Filipino dessert Halo-halo. They’re open Mondays through Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
