West Virginia Ribfest visits Huntington after years away

KANAWHA COUNTY, WV (WOWK) – Ribfest, hosted by Quantum Party Rentals, spent the past weekend in Huntington sharing fun for the whole family with barbecue, family fun days, live entertainment, and, of course, ribs.

The festival visited Huntington after 19 years of being based out of Charleston only, but after a nearly 20-year hiatus, organizers wanted to return to Cabell County.

“The passion for cooking is just … I’ve been doing it over 30 years, so that keeps me coming back,” Carolina Rib King Owner Solomon Williams said. “A lot of people came out at this show to see me, so that was a good thing I haven’t seen them in over 10 years. They stopped it, but Huntington is always good.”

The festival will return to Charleston from Sept. 12-15 at the Haddad Riverfront Park. For more information, you can visit the Ribfest website .
