PAINTSVILLE, KY (WOWK) — The administration at Paintsville High School was alerted to a possible shooting threat Monday morning.

According to a release from Superintendent Thomas Salyer posted on the Paintsville Independent Schools Facebook page, the school was learned on Monday that a student texted another student threatening to “bring a gun to school and cause harm.”

Paintsville Police were alerted and an investigation was conducted, concluding that there was never any danger.

“As always, we encourage everyone to report threats or suspicious activity to a staff member, trusted adult or law enforcement official,” Superintendent Sayler said in the release.

Additional law enforcement are being added around the school for extra security and peace of mind.

Well I'm not complaining about gun control, I have some. What they need to do is lock up the ones making threats just like they actually shot someone. Then go get the parents and charge them. This mess is getting old. They got room, they keep building all these prisons, they need to use them. Or build more mental institutions again.
