Suspect detained after Charleston stabbing

CHARLESTON, WV (WOWK) — A suspect was detained in the stabbing of a person in Charleston Wednesday afternoon.

Crews on the scene said it happened at Woodward Drive and Washington Street West. The stabbing victim was transported to the hospital and the extent of their injuries is unknown.

Charleston Police is investigating and were accompanied by the Charleston Fire Department and EMS on the scene.
