    Man arrested after fatal Nicholas County campground shooting

    NICHOLAS COUNTY, WV (WOWK) — A man was arrested and charged with murder after a man was shot and killed at a campground in Nicholas County on Wednesday, according to the West Virginia State Police.

    State Police said Joseph Tanner, 69, of Summersville, was shot at the Beaver Lake Campground in the community of Calvin in Nicholas County. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

    Cliff Salisbury, 59, of Mount Nebo, was found and arrested without incident. They said witnesses told them he was walking around the area with a rifle.

    Salisbury is being charged with first-degree murder, according to the West Virginia Division of Corrections and Rehabilitation. He is being held in the Central Regional Jail on no bond.

    this is a very sad situation .it doesn't matter what happened between these two people it's not worth killing someone prayers for his family and friends
