Boyd County student charged for making up story about another student with gun: Deputies

BOYD COUNTY, KY (WOWK) — A student is being charged after admitting to making up a story about another student having a gun on the Boyd County High School campus.

That’s according to Boyd County Public Schools and the Boyd County Sheriff’s Office.

The school district said the student claimed the student had the gun on Thursday, and an investigation began. They said the student admitted they made it up while being interviewed.

The Boyd County Sheriff’s Office said they are being charged with disorderly conduct and terroristic threatening.
