BOYD COUNTY, KY (WOWK) – A worker was taken to the hospital for injuries after a tanker trailer fire in Boyd County.

According to Boyd County 911 officials, the call came in at 5:31 p.m. Monday that the product in a tanker truck had started a flash fire, injuring one of the two employees working on the truck. The incident happened at the Paul Coffey Industrial Park along Virginia Boulevard in Cannonsburg.

Dispatchers say the employees worked for a company cleaning the tanker, but there is no word on how the flash fire started.
