WELLSTON, OH (WOWK) — A woman is facing charges after allegedly trying to get someone to buy fentanyl so she can use it to kill a man in Wellston, according to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office.

The sheriff’s office said Kathy Rainer, 66, of Wellston, asked someone to buy the drug on Sept. 11 so she could use it to murder a man she lives with. They did not say the relationship between the two.

She was arrested the following day and charged with conspiracy to commit murder. The Jackson County Correctional Facility said she is being held without bond. She is due back in court on Sept. 23.
