Suspect arraigned, bond set for allegedly shooting Scioto County deputy

Bishop was arrested on Saturday after deputies responded to a call at a home in Portsmouth claiming Bishop was threatening his stepson with a gun. When authorities arrived on the scene, Bishop allegedly shot a deputy as soon as he opened the door.

After a search that included the use of drones and thermal cameras, Bishop was located at a nearby ballfield restroom.

The deputy was flown to Ohio State University where he was treated and released shortly after his arrival at the medical center.

Bishop was arraigned Monday, and his bond was set at $250,000 and he is being held in the Scioto County Jail.
