CABELL COUNTY, WV (WOWK) – A two-day event in Cabell County is offering Marshall University students and alumni the opportunity to network with employers in various industries.

Marshall’s Office of Career Education is hosting two career fairs. The All Majors Career Fair features more than 120 companies from different fields like business, healthcare, and engineering. It will take place Tuesday from noon to 4 p.m. in the Rec Center.

The career fairs are free and open to all students and alumni. Along with part-time or full-time jobs, they also offer opportunities for internships.

“One of the hardest steps in getting a job is getting your foot in the door,” said Marshal Junior Kaden Fields. “When you have experience, when you know people, networking is pretty easy. But, when you’re new in the field, when you’re just starting out, networking is one of the most difficult aspects. It’s really beneficial in getting to know people and getting opportunities that you might not get otherwise.”

The first of the two career fairs, the Cyber Security and Cyber Forensic Career Fair, took place Tuesday morning in the Student Center.
