Marshall prepares for Hall of Fame weekend against Western Michigan

HUNTINGTON, WV (WOWK) – We’re just four days away from Marshall’s return to the Joan this weekend, as they will take on Western Michigan.

This will be the Thundering Herd’s Hall of Fame weekend! Nine Herd Legends will be welcomed with those honors.

The game follows a tough loss to The Ohio State, where the Herd fell last weekend 49-14 to the Buckeyes. While the odds favor a Marshall win over Western Michigan, Coach Charles Huff says the team still has a lot of work to do this week.

Coach Huff also has some history at Western Michigan. He served as an assistant coach for the running backs in 2013.

“Their D-line is big. They’re long, they’re physical, so it’s going to be a challenge.” Huff said. “First time in my coaching career – this means I’m really getting old – where I get to coach against a school where I previously employed and have a little bit of understanding of the culture and the dynamic

This week’s game will take place on Saturday, Sept. 28, at 3:30 p.m.
