HUNTINGTON, WV (WOWK) — A man wanted for questioning in the death of his wife was arrested by police on unrelated charges, according to a release from the Huntington Police Department.

Robert Daniels, 55, of Huntington, was arrested by West Virginia State Police and the Mingo County Sheriff’s Department on Wednesday in Mingo County on “outstanding felony warrants for threats of terroristic acts and retaliation against a public official,” the release said.

The release also said the arrest and charges are unrelated to the ongoing homicide investigation into the death of his wife, 47-year-old Michelle Daniels , who died in the hospital on Sunday two days after police found her with serious injuries at her Huntington residence.

At this time, Robert has not been charged in the death of his wife.
