MASON COUNTY, WV (WOWK) – Residents of New Haven and Hartford are no longer being asked to conserve or boil water.

Officials with the Town of New Haven initially put a boil water advisory in place Wednesday and asked residents to conserve water due to “technical difficulties” with a pump at the wastewater plant. The neighboring town of Hartford was also affected as New Haven supplies the town’s water.

Town officials say the pump was fixed on Thursday, and on Friday, they lifted the boil water advisory and said residents no longer needed to limit their water usage.
