Downed power lines block part of Sissonville Drive

SISSONVILLE, WV (WOWK) – A portion of Sissonville Drive is closed due to downed power lines.

According to the Sissonville Volunteer Fire Department, the lines are down in the 7300 block of Sissonville Drive, which is between Legg Fork Road and Archibald Drive.

The Sissonville VFD is asking drivers to avoid the area so crews can access the area to repair the damaged lines. They say they expect the road to be closed until 5 p.m. Friday.

The downed power lines come as the Tri-State is facing numerous power outages as the remnants of now-Tropical Storm Helene sweep through the area.
