Great weather for weekend events in WV, KY & OH

(WOWK) — Dense morning fog is expected in the area on Thursday morning (October 3) but sunshine is set to come back just in time for the West Virginia Pumpkin Festival which starts Thursday in Milton and runs through Sunday. Lots of sun across the board and the small chance of showers Sunday happens after the event closes.

College football fans will enjoy similar good weather at Marshall University Saturday with highs near 80 and a sunny game against Appalachian State University.

The only other home game in the region is at Ohio State in Columbus with great weather at The Shoe.

Our next chance of rain happens late Sunday or early Monday as a cold front slides across the area.

Four days of 80s for high temperatures will be replaced by highs in the 70s and 60s next week.

Also, if you’d rather hang indoors and watch some sports on TV, don’t forget the big weekend of racing in NASCAR. The weather looks great at Talladega, Alabama Superspeedway. Saturday the XFinity Series race can be seen on The CW, a part of Nexstar Nation.
