Video: Point Pleasant prepares for milestone Battle Days Festival
POINT PLEASANT, WV (WOWK) – The City of Point Pleasant is embracing its history next week with the annual Battle Days celebration, which marks the Oct. 10 anniversary of the Battle of Point Pleasant.

Point Pleasant prepares for milestone Battle Days Festival The schedule of events for the 2024 festivities will include:
Saturday, Oct. 5:
- 6 p.m. – Opening Ceremonies at the Riverfront Amphitheater
- 6:30 p.m. – Opening of the Bicentennial Time Capsule at the Riverfront Amphitheater
- 7 p.m. – 5K Glow Run
- 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. – Concert at the Riverfront Amphitheater
- 9 p.m. – Fireworks
Sunday, Oct. 6:
- 6 p.m. – Interfaith service at the Riverfront Amphitheater
Monday, Oct. 7:
- 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. – Art show at Peoples Bank
- 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. – Sidewalk sales with merchants
- 7 p.m. – Conversations with History: The Life and Times of Virgil Lewis
- Presented by Chris Rizer at the Board Office
