    Floyd County student charged after making threatening statements

    FLOYD COUNTY, KY (WOWK) — A juvenile student has been charged with making terroristic threats at an elementary school on Monday in Floyd County, Kentucky.

    According to a release on the Floyd County Schools Facebook page , the Floyd County School District and Floyd County Sheriff’s Department investigated an incident at John M. Stumbo Elementary School where a student allegedly made “implicit threatening statements” to another student.

    After investigating, the suspected student was taken into custody and is being charged with Second Degree Terroristic Threatening.

    The release also said that no firearm has been found on school property, and no one was in any imminent danger.
