Hurricane stays south, cooler days for WV, KY & OH

(WOWK) — As Hurricane Milton churns in the Gulf of Mexico with winds in the Category 4 and 5 range Tuesday night, the WOWK-TV News viewing area is exceptionally quiet. Milton should make landfall overnight between Wednesday and Thursday.

Temperatures will remain cooler than normal for a few days thanks to a northerly flow of air in the 13 News area while the hurricane stays well to the south.

Temperatures will warm close to 80 degrees for highs on the weekend but a much stronger cold front is coming into the area Sunday night with much colder temperatures in store.

It could be cold enough for the first frost of the season or even the first snowflakes of the season in the high north-central mountains of West Virginia on Tuesday night, October 16.
