Fatal Charleston stabbing suspect indicted on murder charge

KANAWHA COUNTY, WV (WOWK) — A man accused of fatally stabbing another man in the Kanawha City area in June has been indicted, according to the Kanawha County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.

William Selbe, 25, of Charleston, was indicted in the stabbing death of Nicholas Hodge, 35, of Charleston.

The Charleston Police Department said Hodge was found near the GoMart in the Kanawha City area and taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Selbe had left the gas station before police arrived, according to the CPD. They said they found him and arrested him at a residence nearby.

He is due back in court on Oct. 31 at 9:30 a.m.
