UPDATE: Motorcyclist dies after Charleston crash

UPDATE: (1:58 p.m., Friday, Oct. 11) – The Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office says a motorcyclist involved in a crash in Charleston just before noon has died at the hospital.

The motorcyclist has not been publicly identified at this time.

KANAWHA COUNTY, WV (WOWK) – One person has been taken to the hospital after a crash in Kanawha County.

According to Kanawha County Metro 911 dispatchers, the crash happened just before noon Friday near Piedmont Road and Snow Hill Drive in Charleston. A motorcycle and another vehicle were involved.

According to the Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office, the motorcyclist was taken to the hospital for medical treatment. There is no word on their condition at this time.

Deputies also say the roadway will be closed in both directions until further notice due to the crash.
