RIPLEY, WV (WOWK) – The home of “America’s Largest Small Town Independence Day Celebration” is getting some new art to reflect that honor.

A beautiful, new mural was unveiled in Ripley on the Vail Furniture building Friday. The artwork shows off the town’s patriotism. Mayor Carolyn Rader says this was the perfect day to unveil the piece.

“We live in a place where there are Octobers, because October’s a beautiful time of year, and our city provides a whole lot of joyous occasions to bring our families and our friends together,” Rader said.

The Mural Guys, Neil Loprinzi and Mark McComas made the piece possible.
