CHARLESTON, WV (WOWK) — We’re just 20 days from Election Day, and as per tradition, the Kanawha County Commission brought the voting machines in from storage for testing.

According to West Virginia State Code, county leaders must do the testing before ballots are cast.

“This year, we got some new equipment that’s going to make it a little bit simpler and more efficient for the voter to come in and a little bit, I think, faster,” said Kanawha County Clerk Vera McCormick.

Early voting begins in West Virginia next Wednesday.
